Meet the Characters
An enormous, solitary man with a weathered face, kind eyes and a worn hat. He lives deep in the woods, and despite his size his footsteps are incredibly soft. After dark he tiptoes into town to mend, help and care — and is gone before sunrise.
An eight-year-old autistic girl who is thoughtful, observant and curious. She has her own interests, routines and opinions, and she notices the small details others overlook. She is the first person in town to realize who is behind the quiet kindness.
